LSP members will have a booth at the 4th annual MusliMemfest on Saturday, March 30, 2019. This daylong event takes place at the Agricenter International (7777 Walnut Grove Rd, Memphis, TN 38120). Muslims in Memphis, Inc. (MIM) was founded in 2003. Its purpose is to hold faith-based and cultural events in March of every year. They are the only organization of its kind in the US to have such an honor by our respected city government. MIM aims to engage in an outreach program to the larger community of Memphis and the Mid-south in order to educate, inform the community, and dispel myths about Islam and Muslims that have permeated this society for far too long. They aim to do so for such purposes as peaceful coexistence, mutual understanding and mutual respect. The goal of the MusliMeMfest festival is to promote cultural awareness, as well as exposing world culture and food.
