MICAH is sponsoring a vigil of lamentation tomorrow for Brandon Webber and our city.... details are below.

LSP member Mary McIntosh taught Brandon for two years and then he was a Facing history leader for her for another two. The Brandon she knew was compassionate, smart, thoughtful, a natural leader and interested in social justice.

MICAH is hosting a vigil of lamentation tomorrow, Sunday, June 16th from 2-2: 30 pm at Civic Center Plaza (Main Street between Poplar and Adams).

We are gathering in prayer:
To lament with our neighbors in the Frayser community who are mourning a son, Brandon Webber,
To lament the repetition of old scripts that bind the roles of police and the community in ways that lead us all to pain and suffering,
To lift up a vision of a new way of being together grounded in justice and mercy.

This is a peaceful prayer vigil. Clergy are invited to wear robes, stoles, collars, tallit, and other vestments of their faith traditions.
