LSP Monday Meeting

LSP Monday Meeting at First Baptist Church (200 East Parkway North) from 5:00pm - 7:00pm.  Historian Zann Nelson of Culpeper, Virginia will be speaking. She is an award-winning journalist authoring investigative feature articles and more than 600 columns entitled "Buried Truth" and "Zann's Place".  Ms. Nelson has been doing research on a major project in African American history which includes a lynching in Virginia.  She will share the tragic account of young Allie Thompson's arrest, kidnap, and murder by lynching in Culpeper County, Virginia in 1918.  She will be in Memphis on a tour of Southern States.
