In addition to writing regular columns in the Daily Memphian, Otis Sanford holds the Hardin Chair of Excellence in Journalism and Strategic Media at the University of Memphis and is the political analyst and commentator for WATN Local 24.  He was also part of the recent PBS special "Ida B. Wells:  The Advocate".

We are honored to have Mr. Sanford as our guest speaker at Monday's virtual community meeting, as he offers his perspective on the Ida B. Wells events last week.  Laura Faith Kebede will be moderating this webinar.  Laura is a journalist and emerging public historian with a special focus on translating how history connects to the present and how we can use lessons from the past to create a better future.  She is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism and joined the Lynching Sites Project Board in 2020.
