"The Blood of Emmett Till" lecture at Rhodes

The next Lynching Sites Project of Memphis meeting scheduled for Monday, April 3 has been changed to Wednesday, April 5 (5-7 pm) due to the lecture "The Blood of Emmett Till" by Timothy Tyson at Rhodes on Monday evening. Many among us will be going to that lecture.

The lecture will be held in Hardie Auditorium at Rhodes at 6:00pm on Monday, April 3. There will also be a reception beforehand at 5:30 pm.

Emmett Till's accuser admits her testimony was fabricated

The accuser "confessed that she had fabricated the most sensational part of her testimony...Her changed attitude, if genuine, might have real meaning today, what with a polarized electorate, renewed racial tensions, and organizations and Web sites promoting white supremacy.
